In regards to completing the group missions for UF access I have to say that though it may be difficult there is not much excuse for not being able to do them on your own. That may entail trying to put together your own group from your own guild or from AH members but it is possible.

Not just the senior folks are getting the missions done. I am part of a small euro guild. I have been an applicant with AH for a while and just became member but I am already flagged for Convorteum. I did this with the help of my guild as well as friends that I know from guilds such as JPD, VF, and my own guild.

I like Aleax's idea about trying to reward those who are already flagged for T8 and higher who are willing to be a part of a UF flagging group on Wednesday. Ideally if 6 AH people who do not have the flag for a particular zone can have the mission requested for them they should beable to follow the instructions from raspers or Allakhazam to get through it. These tasks aren't really all that hard. Some are just time consuming to get done.

And in regards to time consuming I also agree that one tier for one mission for those taking time from the raid to help those who need a member who is T8+ flagged is not worth it imho. Perhaps for short missions like Arthicrex, but missions like Foundation and Pellucid Grotto you have to kill a lot of mobs and it is going to take a good while to complete it.

I don't enjoy redoing the missions over and over since I have done them for myself, I am doing them still with my own guild, and now doing them with AH. But when I got free evenings I enjoy doing stuff as part of a larger force whether we decide on flagging or raids. Which ever way the coalition goes I will support. Anyway thats my 2cp.

If you ask me, the poll says it all. We should cater to the majority, not the minority(because it looks like the minority is being catered to). If we are not going to follow the results of the poll, why even have one put up?

I will try to help as I can but for the forseeable future til summer, I dont raid wed nights anyhow.

I think doing these missions is a great thing, even though they are technically group content, the drops are very nice and help AH in the long run. I remember alot of people spamming AH channel with drops rotting in t8 zones...stuff that I could have used. If we had more t8 flagged, more people could group there, or even loot drops that rot from other groups, either way AH wins.

I have had a hard time finding groups to do missions, and it is not because I am inferior and not ready for UF. I used to raid with AH a bit when it first started out in BoT back in the day. I started this bst in July of last year and in the short time since then I have managed to progress this toon quite well IMO (as well as 2 other boxes of mine). I am not kora flagged yet, but thanks to EVC and a few others all I need done is FoS but I either need to start doing the annoying prerequisite missions or find someone to request the missions for me..

Since I have been gone from EQ for a while it is hard to find groups to be able to do stuff in UF or help with other quests. Many of my old friends are gone, and I'm sure most of AH doesn't know me very well, which is understandable. I'm more than sure it's easier for the senior members to find groups for this stuff, especially when they are in the uber guilds and have help there as well.

Elven Society is a small family guild that I would not want to ever leave, they are friends and have always been there. There are however, not really a whole lot of active members, the majority of us box toons as well. Aleax would probably be the only one able to help me with missions if I asked, but he is a busy guy, and alot of the times he was doing the missions he was probably with someone else and had no spots left etc. I know for a fact 4 spots at least were taken up because he had his wife with him too. He was able to add me to Arthicrex mission so I got that one out of the way without the help of AH wed nights...but to expect him to help out with all the missions after him doing them a bunch of times already is kind of out of the question, and he is not on all the time, very minimal time to play outside of raid nights from what I have noticed.

Exploring UF for the missions on my own would probably never happen with bst/mage/sk and 3 mercs...so that is out of the question. Elrico is probably the only other person in the quild that would be able to do these but A- He's been out of play for at least a month working on something in RL...and B- He hasn't got his army UF yet anyways.

SO If I can get flagged through UF and possibly get a few drops to help improve my toon, it would only help out for the other stuff. I completely understand the other side not wanting to do group stuff on raid nights...but hey, you're killing with AH members, and getting some AA exp...both benefits IMO. Personally as an applicant, being in a one group situation helps me get to know certain members better, which hopefully will help build relationships and help me to get groups on non-raid nights. There is also a chance for loot/augs etc.

The only thing I can suggest, is to try a little bit harder to make sure that all groups have someone who is very familiar with the mission and can lead it well and has the strats worked out. The UQ mission Hapyto and I were on was quite a mess this time around. We were about to call it quits before Famka was able to help bust it out real quick. Until then no one in our group really knew what they were doing, just going by Rasper's...that and our puller was a enc/war team...and the enc was not familiar with it so had alot of deaths on the pulling. Just my thoughts, but other than that it's been going good.

What would be really good for AH is Husk/Convorteum plows. That loot is GOOD.

However, gotta have people flagged in order for that to happen. I think losing one raid nite per week to help the greater good is not really that big of a deal. You still get 3 raid nites to get drops.

I myself won't normally be up to doing Wed nites cuz its a school nite, but when I have vacation time etc, would be happy to help do flagging runs. Im working on hopefully doing my last 2 tasks soon to be Convorteum flagged, but it all takes time.

In the meantime, Im still doing that darn Sewers mission almost daily and usually have an add or 2 to help peeps get a piece of gear, an AA or 2, and maybe a rotting aug hehe.

Some may see these nights as a step down for AH, but looking at the big picture, I'm convinced it's the right thing for AH to do as a whole.

I STRONGLY encourage folks to show up early, so we can get you in the right groups. Sadly, if you show up late, we can just get you into any group with an open spot.

I know I don’t show up as much as I should so not sure how much weight my opinion can throw but here it is;

Doing group progression is retarded as a raid force. I will admit I show up all the time to help out because its one the few things I can do to assist. Why are we doing this? If people want to do the group progression and can’t handle it on their own within their own groups isn’t that partially what afterhours chat is for? Say you are looking for group there and would like to get it done; there are many helpful people in there that would probably be more than happy to help out.

On another note that still pertains to this use the wed nights for something useful like ROT and Queen raids. You have Core of the Legends raid taking up these. Yes you may be helping them out but in return you are only hurting your own raiding force. Allot of these drops may not be upgrades for you but it does drop some decent gear for the lower people you are trying to help with these group tasks. In return these people still win. And then with the hard mode raids you still get gear that is an upgrade for allot more.

I have sat by idle because I didn’t feel it was my place to bitch about this due to my lack of attendance as of late but I’m sorry I couldn’t watch you kill yourselves anymore. Hopefully what I have said will help out some.

The reason progression is still on for Wednesday nights, is so many still need it. If we can get these folks T8, it will help AH as a whole.

Yes in theory there should be alot of people helping out with progression on non-raid nights, but it's harder than you think, alot of people either don't want to do it, because they already have it and don't feel like it, or they haven't done it and don't know what they are doing. I see alot of people asking for help with progression but all they get is crickets. The tasks can be pretty tough so you need all the right classes which makes it a little more difficult. There are also usually fewer people online when raids are not happening. Usually the best time to get anything done with people are after raids if not a lot of people have logged off.
