Crashing issues

I am having major crashing issues at the moment. I think it may be the video card, but for now I an crashing on zoning, and sometimes even just moving through crowded zones. The error I am getting is Reset Device()Failed. Anyway, the crashing issues make it almost impossible to raid. Hope to be back in the swing of things soon.

dont think your the only one, Odnz was tellin me he was havin problems all day and each time i sent him a tell he was crashin lol somethin with the emergency patch probably

I have the same issue Gromdelin, but have not had it in a while. Its happened with this vidcard, GeForce 9800, and the last one, Nividia 8500.

I am having same problem....i play 3 comps.....and 2 of em keep crashing with the same message....resetdevice () failed....and crashes to desktop.....contacted sony tech support....seems like its a common problem now a days, but not easy fix....some times it just goes away...but they want me to do a full diagdx and somehting else and send em the results....yuk....will keep you avised

yeh they want u to fix it yourself basically lol, since that emergency patch i been laggin hella bad pretty much all the time and forget 2 boxing anymore can barely move...bullshit i tells ya. not sure if it was that patch that did it but cant remember it laggin before at all Sad

11 years and they STILL cant patch right...least its not like some multi patch days back in the day that i went thru but this lag shit is too much for me

I am only laggy, even with 3 toons up, in the lobby and PoK.

my problem has been

the memory address hex-number referenced memory at 0x0blahbllah .... memory could not be read

eq crash and burn

i tried all the win7 fixes that i seen ..... except im not running it under win 7..... this is the same vista machine i've used for awhile now.

memory tests -- passeded no errors

directory moved to C:\everquest --- worked .... then crashes ensued

updated directx to the febuary update --- nothing

dunno what it is ... but since the hotfix of convorteum patch, ive been getting this 4-5 times when i move items, walk around, send tells, or look in bank.... so i try to get a stable instance of EQ so i can play.... then try to keep that logged in

figured it was an error in beta since i could log in to the normal servers just fine and not crash at all--- logged into beta and id get the memory reference error...
