i was looking over the anniversary raid for this year and it looks like it would be challenging but Rewarding. The drops are really nice and if I can dig up some more info about the positioning of the mobs to help negate some of the spells they cast it might be something we can try.
Just curious if anyone else might be interested in trying it:

The loot is between Tower and first tier of UF raids.
IF you have spell shield / resists maxed the AEs are not that bad, also you can rest 7m before to engage the last mob.
Also the targeted AEs are emote based (yay emotes!).
Is all about heal group, keep MT up and follow emotes. _________________

Yeah the AEs look similar to t8 and t9 named AEs. With group healers in every group, not counting clerics healing MT, we can do this. Especially with how many Paladins we are fielding lately. |

also have to factor in how many ( if any) of our members guilds are doing this already, causing them to be either locked out, or unable to do it as its current with their guild? |

Yeah, RoV is doing this raid, so we'll be locked out and won't be able to lend a hand with our mains. I have a couple of alts I could use to help though (85 wiz, 85 shm, 85 sk). _________________

Honestly, from what I have read about it, seeing as that is about all I have time for lately, alot of the AAs are either single target, viral or sight based. I have read some posts, of course I cant seem to find them today, that mention that by placing the mobs around the elements of the area you are in alot of the spells will only hit the MT. If that is true we should be able to do this one, if we get enough toons that are not doing it with their guilds currently that is.
I just wanted to throw it out there to see what you all thought. Heres hoping I can make a raid tonight or tomorrow. _________________ 85 Ranger|85 Shaman

Like Fethiel said paladins can help, but i am 99% sure this raid exceed AH force, plus we loose at least all RoV folks, no idea about Fu.
I saw like ppl with 45k hp unbuffed was killed in few secs only with AEs in last mob with 2 clerics and 1 paladin in group trying heal.
The raid is quick, 11 nameds and done, not works like others anniversary raids, you need win it for get reward, not exist scale rewards.
Anyway we can try it for measure our force against it and learn, would be great use our paladins for cast twin heal, then splash, that helps a lot. _________________

the ae on the last two bosses are definatly NOT los. i have tried hiding from them and end up dead. they also have a very large range (at least the entire room you fight in) and are either very very hard to resist or unresistable. if it was one of the scaled fights that the reward is based on how far you get i would say to try it but it is not. you have to win and i dont think ah can win that, specially losing alot of mains due to guild lockouts. _________________ And you can't fight the tears that ain't coming

JPD has tried this raid and for the most part this is an easy raid till the last 2 mobs. Then you need some good AOE heals and some luck. The last guy has a ton of hps and all the AOE from the previous mobs.
note. JPD only tried this one time. I doubt they will try it again becasue of how difficlut it is. Only got to fight 5 I think it was.
we could try to do dragons or Giants or one of the few other raids out there for some augs for everyone. |
