Uhh before I go to bed...
Is there any interest in killing the dragon in Skyfire for the VP access quest? I remember us trying him once and getting completely owned, but that was awhile ago. Thinking about him as an alternate target on nights when a lot of stuff is down if people are interested. VP has some good quests that would be upgrades for a lot of us I think but you do need Ring of Scale faction for it. |

I'd like to be able to enter VP. I've done the original quest up to the point where I need Trakanon's tooth from Seb but whichever is easiest to attain is fine with me.

If I remember correctly, no matter what you must do this raid in order to get VP access. The only difference between having the old key and doing the newer route is the strength of the augment you get from it (25 all new or 40 all old, I think). Beating the dragon spawns chests that in some combination have enough drops for I think 40 at a time. _________________ Not doing much of anything at the moment... |

Yeah old key or new you need this mob. He drops...uhhh....48 books I think when you kill him, which would basically be enough for our entire raid. I dunno just thought it might be something different to try. I have a few ideas on beating him too. |

I remember this as well, and complete ownage is exactly what he did to us. In my book, this is the best reason to kill him. _________________

He's pretty tough.
His name is Suled Dar's Shade iirc. Hits like a truck (2.5k range) and has two nasty ae. One is a magic based (-300) 2k ae with a four slot dispel. Other is a prismatic based (-200) manatap and snare. RGC or RC3 can cure the manatap. Completely immune to fire based spells.
Another thing that makes him suck is he is a belly nuker, and has aeramp. So casters will be gettin hit with his aeramp as well as melee. Casters will need to nuke, then run out of melee range if they are hurt, then run back in to nuke again. Also I think there is no way to get oor of his ae...400 range on them.
However he doesn't have many hps. So gotta burn him down as soon as possible.
The main thing on him is to have a cleric in each group using group heals to negate the 2kae. Paladins help with this too. Another thing we might do is have clerics mgb group complete healing (forget actual spell name).
Anyways I know he sounds tough, but I have seen him killed with a 50 person pickup raid, so I figure we can do him with 40 well disciplined people. And if we die, well, hopefully we will have fun doing it. |

The Infusion Veteran's Reward will be our friend. Try to keep this one availalable for the raid. |
