|
|
Heyas,
There have been some concerns about DoN raids recently. So I am here to first explain what is going on with it and secondly to talk about an Emoush run this Sunday.
So for those who are unfamiliar with DoN, Calling Emoush and Trial of Perserverance are two of the raid progression tasks (these raid task are the same for both good and evil faction) that we have done in the past. However, we are now starting to have far too many raiders to do these events on a normal night. These two events are 24 people max, and a few different specific classes are needed to succeed.
So I can't just tell half our raid to bugger off, that we are doing DoN. That just would suck...I don't like leaving people behind. Splitting the raid in half is a better solution but still not great, because that leaves us thin on healers and stuff. I do want people to get these drops though.
So I am going to hold a few official DoN raids on Sundays. These will not be every week, but I will try to hold them as often as I can assuming people need the drops. They will follow the same rules as we always do, meaning dkp will be given and people will be charged for drops. There are gonna be a few different rules.
1. The Sunday DoN stuff will start at 8 pst and we will gather at the dragon skull in lavastorm.
2. If we do not have the classes necessary to win the event by 8:15 the raid will be called off. For Emoush, we need at least four tanks, six to eight healers, and dps. For Trial of Pers we need...uhhh...at least one chanter.
3. Priority will go as follows. Vital classes > those needing drop > full members > applicants/guests.
6. Loot will be handled by our normal rules. These drops each cost one point. If no members are interested they will then be lottoed off to our applicants. If neither applicant or member is interested they will rot.
5. These are 24 person max raids. This means not every person in AH will be able to attend. It sucks but there is nothing I can do.
So yeah, that is all for now.

Yay!!! I'm soooo excited! I'll be there : ) I've been needing emoush for awhile now, but can rarely make the AH raid days anymore : / Sunday will be great for me, so you can pretty much count on me for a tank any Sunday you decide to do these : ) |

I still need Gimblax. If I do Emoush would I have to do him again later when I am at that stage? Either way if you need a chanter call on me I love helping when I can _________________

Nah, you don't have to do him again.
The way all these raids work is you loot a drop at the end. For the 24 person raids there are six quest pieces that drop plus one piece of loot, and for the 42 ones there are more. You just hold onto it until you are at that point with the individual tasks.
Edit: I'm gonna sticky this so it doesn't get pushed down and have noone know about it. I'd really like it to be a success. |

I am in need of Gimblax and Emoush as well. I was thinking, If I can get on at say 6PM pacific, and others are on as well, we can try a single group Gimblax run shortly before Emoush. I will ask in channel at that time (if I can get on that early) otherwise I will bug you guys another time
