Hey Guys!
I have been lurking around on the boards and wanted to say hi.
I hope you are all doing well.
For those that know me, I miss you all!
For those that don't, Let me just say you are in good hands with Shieara =) and the other officers/squad leaders.
Feel free to PM me guys!
I don't know who is still active and if I sent everyone a PM I would be here all night
Take care and talk to you soon! _________________ It takes talent to lose oneself. Now where was I?

LOL Ian...you have my phone number but I haven't heard from you ! When are you making more mead?
Kala!!!!!! I miss you so much *hugs*
LOL I doubt I will be back in EQ land soon, but anything is possible. Kor is ummm 78 I think and Verchant was trying to get me to play more but I is a slacker
OMG Hearrun! lol I didn't know you were still around and kicking....when are you going to come down and give me a "check up" *mischievious grin*
I do miss you all and it makes me homesick when I see all these familiar names in your posts. If I sent everyone a PM that I wanted to say Hi to...I would be online forever!
Kor is sooooooo undergeared it would be scary to try and raid with her now. I dont even think I remember how to play her. When I was back a few months ago, I couldn't even solo bears and crocodiles anymore.
I will be in touch and you never know...I might just surprise you guys one day (although I don't have the password to the channel anymore ) _________________ It takes talent to lose oneself. Now where was I?

I thought I spotted a Korinne lurker in our midst. It's good to see you around again!
Shoot me a tell if you want to join a raid one day. We can get you in the channels np and you can't be any gimper than my boxed druid so don't worry about it. _________________ Sorcier |

Howdy Kor!
Actually if you wanted to play again we could get you up-to-date fairly quickly. There is a lot of groupable gear that is really good and some of the stuff from the last expansion is pretty cheap to get.
Anyways I am looking for your number so you should pm it to me. I have like three of them written down and I am not sure I want to try trial and error yet. |

Not to mention, she just moved AGAIN... Now I could throw a rock and hit her home. ( No that was not an admission of guilt Kor... /grin _________________

Nice to see you on the boards again, Kor. As Aleax said, it would be nicer to see you in game. If, forget if, when you come back I don't think your gear would be an issue for too long. So, you cannot use that excuse on your friends here in AH. |

Gah... Reinstalling EQ is for masochistic people. I would go with just copying it over from another computer. And if you haven't another computer around to copy it from, I can always burn my EQ folder to DVD9 for ya... _________________

i usually just download the patcher and let it go overnight myself instead of a full install or copying... regardless the medium always good to hear from you. |

Only problem with that is EQ's size is ungodly huge (last checked in at over 5gigs) and some ISP's limit how much you can download per month without resetting your connection. Getting disconnected during a download, frustrating to say the least, especially after 90% done
I have copied EQ around and around tons and it always works long as you remember to delete the hardware ini file if changing machines. If you have a dual layer DVD burner, I would say burning your EQ folder off as a backup is a lifesaver and could save you potentially hours or days in the reinstall process.
As for you Kor, you know me, you know where I live. If you need a copy of EQ installed, well you know... _________________

Also worth point out that both the two latest expansions (SoF and SoD) include all the previous expansions and original EQ. So you could just buy the latest expansion and throw your old CDs away (assuming you can find them!). |

5 gigs is a lot? I just downloaded Fallout 3 last night and it only took a couple hours and it was over 5 gigs. Admittedly though we have a nice, fast connection here with no limits on downloads. Also Direct2Drive has a good server that can support that kind of speed.
That said, I would almost recommend what Wwein said and picking up one of the compilation editions if you are going to play again since they have all the expansions, but I am not sure whether the expansions have individual keys that can be used to upgrade Korinne's account. Might be worth checking out though. |

5+ gigs is only alot when you compare the couple of hours it took you to download versus 5-10mins to copy it over..
The new expansion does come with all the previous expansions but no individual keys. You just install the whole thing and get all the /claim items over again.
( guess that is sony's way of saying good boy, now give us all your money ) _________________

Well I have all the expansions except for the latest one....so I think I am ok there. I know I have the disks SOMEWHERE
What I was really hoping to do is put my old computer back together and somehow breathe life back into it....the video card just won't work at all! I bought a new one and it still wont' work *shrug* ...its beyond me. I know enough to be VERY VERY dangerous.
It is soooo good to hear from you all....it makes me really homesick.
I promise to be better about lurking and staying active on the boards and a massive bonus is that I get to be near Shieara's sexiness.
Ken, I will message you soon. Say hi to Young for me _________________ It takes talent to lose oneself. Now where was I?
